From April 22 to 26, 2019, Jiahong Dong, Dean of School of Clinical Medicine, Tsinghua University and Executive Dean of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, Huji Xu, Vice Dean of School of Clinical Medicine, Tsinghua University, and Kexia Wang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, led a delegation of clinical teaching supervisors, key teaching faculty, and teaching administrators from 11 hospitals, to Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Duke University School of Medicine, Mayo Clinic, and other world-class medical schools and medical institutions for a five-day exchange visit.

　　On April 22, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on educational concepts, curriculum system, teacher cultivation, discipline construction to systematically understand the reform process, educational concepts, curriculum settings, teaching methods, teaching evaluation system, teacher development, and the construction of supporting software and hardware conditions of Harvard Medical College medical students' education system. During the meeting with George Daley, Dean of Medicine School, the two sides expected to carry out further cooperation and exchanges in the field of medical education.

　　From April 23 to 24, the delegation visited Massachusetts General Hospital and learn more about hospital development strategies, implementation of medical education and research work in medical innovation and medical education leadership in terms of management of hospital organization, education , scientific research, human resources, financial performance, multidisciplinary care team, patient safety and quality control, etc。

　　Subsequently, Jiahong Dong and Huji Xu led teams to visit to Mayo Medical Center and Medicine School of Duke University, respectively. On April 25, Jiahong Dong and the delegation visited to Mayo Medical Center to discuss the curriculum of medical students in Mayo Medical Center with full-time teaching professors of cardiology department. From April 25 to 26, Xu led the delegation to visited Medicine School of Duke University to made in-depth investigations into medicine educational philosophy, curriculum system, school-operating characteristics, management system and campus culture.

　　Through this visit, our clinical and management staff discussed medical education concepts and training programs with many world-class international medical institutions, and learned advanced management concepts and culture, which was an important inspiration and influence on the further implementation of medical education with distinct characteristics of Tsinghua University, and the hospital will also take international world-class medical institutions as benchmarks to promote the rapid development of medical education, research and management.(Reviewer Runqing Li)
